More jobs have opened up for professionals looking to change employers in the UAE recently, with top companies in technology and transportation among those seeking to recruit new staff.
A quick roundup of listings from around the web reveals that those who are looking to work for stable companies can find opportunities at Apple, Snapchat and RTA.
There are several vacancies up for grabs in other industries as well, according to Emirates NBD’s economy tracker, there has been a “sharp growth” across key sectors in Dubai: wholesale and retail, construction and travel and tourism.
Apple has just opened a number of new vacancies this month, according to its website, and the available positions are for job seekers with experience and qualifications in retail, marketing and sales.
Posting earnings of $45.4 billion and iPhone sales of more than 41,000 units worldwide during its fiscal third quarter, the American company currently offers UAE candidates the opportunity to apply for roles ranging from a retail consultant, technical specialist to store manager.
At Snapchat, which has recently exploded in popularity in the Middle East market and daily active users of 173 million worldwide, there are so far three positions still up for grabs for candidates in Dubai.
Roles include ad operations associate, measurement and consumer insights and Council facilitator, all to be based in Dubai. The camera company opened its first Middle East office in Dubai this year. It had earlier advertised an opening for the role of international marketing manager.
Also ramping up it's hiring, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has at least seven new vacancies posted as of September 6, making the total number of positions up for grabs to 84.
The 84 advertised jobs are for various roles, including engineer, inspector, IT project manager, senior analyst, supervisor, receptionist and accountant. Some of the positions, however, are expiring soon, according to the RTA’s careers portal.
Dubai is soon to get an extension of its main transportation link, with the construction of the Route 2020, which will extend the Dubai Metro by 15 kilometres, still ongoing.
