Etihad Airways to host major global Cabin crew Recruitment drive

Etihad Airways, the award-winning national airline of the United Arab Emirates, is hosting a major recruitment drive globally, seeking individuals with outstanding hospitality experience to join the airline’s World Leading Cabin Crew.

The international recruitment days will take place in 19 different cities across Australia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa including the United Kingdom, France, Slovakia, Tunisia and South Africa.

Linda Celestino, Etihad Airways’ Vice President Guest Service and Delivery, said: “In each of these cities we will be inviting up to 120 of the strongest candidates with remarkable hospitality skills to join us at the recruitment days to support the operational growth of our airline including the arrival of new, next-generation fleet this year.”

Alongside providing candidates with comprehensive information about living in Abu Dhabi and the dynamics of working with guests at 30,000 feet, the airline will also conduct an in-depth assessment process.

“On the back of our recently launched ‘Choose Well’ brand campaign, these open days are more than just a recruitment drive.

We hope to attract talented and enthusiastic men and women globally, to inspire and help them kick-start a tremendous career opportunity and life experience in the UAE with us,” adds Ms Celestino.

Successful candidates will undergo a comprehensive training program in Abu Dhabi, which includes all aspects of cabin safety and service delivery. The training will be conducted at Zayed Campus, the airlines training academy.

Cabin crew are provided with a tax-free income, company medical insurance, concessional travel benefits, transport, uniforms, fully furnished company accommodation in Abu Dhabi, and discounts on food and beverage and leisure activities in the fresh and vibrant surroundings of the capital of the UAE.

Dubai's Emirates airline is hiring Cabin crew

Dubai's flagship airline Emirates is looking to expand its cabin crew team.

In an Instagram post, the airline said: "We're looking to expand our award-winning, multinational cabin crew team."

Interested applicants are invited to attend the airline's Open Days all over the world from August - September 2018. According to their website, the airline will be hosting several open days in countries such as Canada, Germany, France, Oman and the United States.

Candidates should be at least 21 years old at the time of joining and be at least 160cm tall. Educational qualification of minimum Grade 12, as well as fluency in English, are mandatory

The cabin crew will be paid approximately Dh9,500 per month; with a basic pay of Dh4,260 per month. Furnished accommodation is also provided free of charge and is inclusive of water, electricity and TV. The accommodations are located in over 50 buildings around Dubai.

Other perks include layover expenses, concessional travel and, 30 days of calendar leave per year, among others.

Emirates Organizing open days for Cabin crew recruitment in Dubai

Dubai's flagship airline Emirates is looking for "motivated and service-oriented" candidates to expand its cabin crew team. The airline will be organising open days for cabin crew recruitment in Dubai later this month.


"Emirates is looking for open-minded, helpful, and friendly candidates to deliver its award-winning onboard experience to customers. Applicants hoping to give their careers a flying start can walk in with an up-to-date curriculum vitae in English, and a recent photograph.

 Prior online registration is not required to attend the Open Day. However, important information about the requirements for the selection process can be found online at the Emirates Group Careers website," the airline said in the announcement.

Job requirements
  •     At least 21 years of age at the time of joining
  •     Arm reach of 212 cm while standing on tiptoes
  •     Minimum height of 160 cm
  •     High school graduate (Grade 12)
  •     Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  •     No visible tattoos while you're in Emirates cabin crew uniform
  •     Can adapt to new people, new places and new situations
  •     Physically fit for this demanding role
 Candidates will need to come prepared to spend the full day at the venue. Shortlisted candidates will be informed of timings for further assessments and interviews.

Salary and benefits

The cabin crew will be paid approximately Dh9,500 per month. The salary will be part fixed and part flexible, depending on flying hours.

Other perks include layover expenses, furnished accommodation, concessional travel, 30 days of calendar leave per year, among others.
